The Computational Intelligence and Machine Learning (CIML) Laboratory is
an initiative of faculty
members of
the Control and Automation Research Group,
Department of Engineering,
UFLA.
It has been
organized to be
center
of excellence for research, teaching, and practice in computational
intelligence and machine learning since its foundation
in November
2015.
The laboratory has several faculty members working on theoretical
and applied aspects of neural networks, fuzzy systems, evolving
algorithms, statistical pattern recognition, and adaptive modeling and
control. In addition, the laboratory has several affiliated faculty
members whose primary research interests are in other areas but are
somehow involved in topics of
machine learning and artificial intelligence.
The laboratory is supported through grants from the main federal
agencies, the Brazilian National Research Council (CNPq), the Brazilian
Ministry of Education (CAPES), the Research Foundation of the State of
Minas Gerais (FAPEMIG); and from university's internal grants.
If you are a prospective MSc student, please apply via the PPGESISA
admission process. For postdoctoral opportunities, please contact the
CIML
faculty members directly. For general inquiries, please contact Fernanda Botelho
at < esis@deg.ufla.br >.
